JAM GOSS Term 2 Week 1-ish

Welcome to Term 2! It’s week 2 of the term, officially, but it’s week 1 for JAM. Anyway, whatever. JAM is back this week! It’s been a little while, we think. We’re gonna get straight back into it with Mega Games this Friday night, so make sure you come along! We’ll see you on Friday at 7:30 pm! We’d love to see you for Sunday Night Worship, 6:30 pm at the church, too! God bless.

JAM GOSS Term 1 Week 6

Just a quick one for now. We need to remind you that JAM is going tenpin bowling this Friday night at AMF North Strathfield! You should have got your permission note by now (if you haven’t, it’s probably too late) so you need to bring it with you on Friday night. We’re leaving PUC at 6:30 pm to get McDonalds for dinner on the way, so make sure you’re there by 6:15 pm or so.

That’s about it for this week! We’ll hopefully see you on Friday! There’s no Sunday Night Worship at PUC this weekend, either: we’re going to the combined service at Padstow Baptist Church instead. It starts at 7 pm. Be there!

Jammers! JAM is back this week with another Messy Night. I think by now that that should say it all, so come prepared to do gross, icky things in the name of having a good time.

This week: Messy Night!

JAM GOSS Term 1 Week 2

Hey, Jammers. We all had a great time last Friday night at the Mountain Of Cardboard event. Towers were built, armour forged and battle fought, all in the name of being creative with cardboard. The girls proved that they were better structural engineers and better armour-forgers than the boys! It was nice to see Luke Smith pop in, too.

JAM this week is the mysteriously-named Workshops and Animal dress-up night. Basically we’re gonna have some workshops on how to play Guitar Hero, how to play real musical instruments (drums and so-forth) and probably more besides. And of course, we’ll all be dressed up as animals, for no particular reason.

JAM is back this week! Welcome to 2009! We hope you have all enjoyed your holidays! We have a big term planned, so make sure you come along so you don’t miss any of it! This Friday we’re kicking things off with Mountain Of Cardboard. What is that, you ask? You’ll have to come along and find out. Bring your creative caps, too.

This week: Mountain Of Cardboard

It’s the beginning of another year! JAM is not quite back yet (probably will be next week, but we’ll keep you informed) but this coming Sunday evening is the first Cafe Church for 2009! How exciting! Check the poster below for dates (you can also find it in the sidebar). For this Cafe Church we’re doing something special and asking everyone (that means you) to bring along a plate of something to share. This is your chance to impress us with your culinary skills! As usual Cafe Church begins with a meal at 6 pm but we’re asking you to arrive by 5:45 pm so that your food is good to go by 6 pm. Bring a friend, too! We hope to see you there!

JAM was also part of Panania Uniting Church’s annual Beach Mission at Soldiers Point after Christmas. This year it ran from December 27 to January 3. Here are some photos!

JAM GOSS Term 4 Week 9

This week’s JAM is the final one for 2009! It’s the annual Broken Records night! I suppose that means there will be competitions to see who can do the most push-ups, how many people can fit in Angela’s car, and other quests of that nature. You’ll have to come along and find out for yourself, though.

It’s on at 7:30 pm! Of course, we’d also love to see you for Sunday Night Worship at 6:15 pm Sunday evenings, too.

JAM GOSS Term 4 Week 7

Week 7 of term! Christmas is fast approaching, but we’re not there yet. Last week the core group kids had fun on our excursion to Manly! We caught the ferry and got dinner and played rugby on the beach and it was a bunch of fun. Tomorrow night is the Who Dares Wins/Water Night/Messy Night, so you can be sure that it’ll be pretty packed. There’s a fair chance that your clothes will get wet, dirty, or both, so don’t wear your best.

JAM is back this week! This week’s JAM is called Make And Break, so that means you’ve got to bring your imagination with you because you’ll be building some extraordinary things out of ordinary stuff. And then you get to destroy them! Or something like that.
